Kingfisher is a small, family-run company. We are invested in the lives of our staff and customers. We take pride in the fact that our staff build relationships with all of our customers. For us, customers are more than just a business transaction.
Our History
Kingfisher Metal Pressings was established in 1996 by Henk Lubbe, a qualified tool and die maker with years of experience working in the motor industry. Initially, we operated as a press shop for the production of large scale runs of parts, primarily for the motor industry.

Henk Lubbe
Founding Member
A tool maker by trade, Henk has spent his entire career in the motor industry. He was involved in research, design and development for various companies before founding Kingfisher Metal Pressings. With years of practical experience in the field, Henk is our go-to-guy for the toughest questions and challenges.
Carin Gordon
Manager
The ‘rose amongst the thorns’ who manages operations, answers the phone and does pretty much everything inbetween! Carin has a degree in Business Management & Communication. She “officially“ began working at Kingfisher after completing school and her studies.
Dirk de Beer
Manager
Dirk is responsible for production planning, day-to-day operations, drawing and development of products. He keeps things running smoothly! Dirk joined the team straight after finishing school. With a tenure of 20 years, he is our longest standing staff member.
Wayne Blake
Wayne joined the team shortly after leaving school. He has the golden touch setting up the laser cutter, even when it is being difficult. You will also see him cruising around in our delivery vehicle, making sure everyone gets their parts on time. Wayne is always happy to help all the customers out with anything he can.
Anton Pawson
The IT whizz in the team. Anton has both the computer skills and in-shop skills to make your products just as you would like them. Anton joined the team in 2019 and has formed good relationships with all our customers he has dealt with.
